Dr. Abida Nasreen
The scientist behind GrowLiv’s biological production systems.
Dr. Abida Nasreen is the co-founder and Director of Research & Development at GrowLiv Biologicals. She designed and developed our commercial rearing systems for predatory mites, beneficial insects and bumblebee pollinators in collaboration with our production team. Today, she provides high-level scientific oversight of existing production and leads the development of new biological control organisms, with a current focus on parasitoid production.
From research to commercial production.
Dr. Abida developed GrowLiv’s commercial rearing systems for multiple beneficial organisms, including predatory mites, predatory insects and bumblebee pollinators, working closely with our production team. She now oversees existing production at a strategic scientific level and continues to advance new biological control solutions for greenhouse growers, with a current focus on parasitoid production.
A career grounded in entomology and applied research.
Dr. Abida holds a PhD in Agricultural Entomology and has over 30 years of experience in biological control, applied entomology and insect-rearing technology. Her background includes academic teaching, published research, patented insect-rearing technology and postdoctoral research in Canada.
