How to use MicromuLiv Adults
What is in the MicromuLiv bottle?
Predator: Brown lacewing adults (Micromus variegatus)
Brown lacewings are natural predators that feed on soft-bodied pests such as aphids, mites, and small insects.
How to release MicromuLiv adults?
For best results, release immediately after receiving the shipment.
To release:
- Open the bottle carefully near the plants.
- Gently place or allow the adults to fly out onto the crop.
- Brown lacewing adults are active and will naturally disperse through the crop.
Important:
Avoid using pesticides (organic or synthetic) before and after release, as they may harm the predators.
Can you store MicromuLiv?
We recommend releasing the predators immediately upon arrival.
If storage is necessary:
- Store the bottle in a cool, dark place for 1–2 days maximum.
- Avoid direct sunlight and high temperatures.
How to promote establishment?
Temperature & humidity:
Brown lacewings establish best in moderate to warm environments. Although they can work in cooler temperatures.
- Ideal temperature: 20–26°C
- Ideal humidity: 50–70% relative humidity
Food sources:
Adult brown lacewings feed on aphids and other soft-bodied plant pests
