Tips & Tricks
- If extra pollen is added to establish orius, be aware that the western flower thrips also eat pollen. Thrips should always be monitored to ensure they are not benefiting from this practice.
- Orius is attracted to yellow sticky traps, if they are being used in your crops, we suggest placing 1 for every 100 plants or more.
- Orius is a diapausing insect and will become inactive during shorter/cooler days. We don’t recommend using it in the winter unless additional lighting is provided.

Humidifier, with good lighting to simulate summer conditions are preferred to assist with higher successibilty rate. I observed a number of them, roaming an infected plant, even 6 days after application. Good luck!!

Hello I got the orisous insidous they are amazeing and work well for thrips it is important to have the light on longer enough and the humidty up to 60 they will work well I like watching though my microscope eating and attacking the thrips now I have no trips now
I was given some plants from a friend and didn't quarantine them like I should...needless to say they were full of thrips which spread to my other plants. I work 2 jobs so I don't have time to treat my plants with pesticides so these little beetles were the best investment! They arrived quickly and went straight to work. I'm very impressed and will definitely purchase again if I need them.
4 months since first purchase, boosted the population with another vial 2 weeks ago, and I haven't seen any indication of thrip.
They seem not quite as effective vs. mealy bugs. fyi.
I'll continue to use this product.
